The Royal Yacht Britannia
Britannia is owned and cared for by The Royal Yacht Britannia Trust. Britannia is part of the Core Collection of the National Register of Historic Vessels, the official register of the most important British ships in existence.
As befits its charitable objectives, the Trust's principal activity is to encourage as many people as possible to visit Britannia, in order to learn more about this iconic vessel and the ambassadorial role she undertook throughout the world. Since opening to the public on 19 October 1998, Britannia normally attracts between 350,000 and 400,000 visitors per annum, usually making it one of Scotland's top 10 paid admission visitor attractions. Since first joining our national tourist board's quality assurance scheme, VisitScotland has graded us in the 5 Star 'World Class' category. In addition, for 13 years Britannia received the highest quality mark awarded that year by VisitScotland, making it Scotland's Best Visitor Attraction.

- We are now looking for a Security Officer to join the small, friendly team on board Britannia.
- You will ensure their safety, as well as the safety of the Yacht and its artefacts, by monitoring the CCTV, controlling access through the entry gates and by patrolling the ship.
- We offer 10% employer pension contribution with a choice to contribute up to a further 5% yourself, which would then be matched by us as well! (So, 20% potential contribution to your pension).
- As the ESH Manager you will develop outstanding relationships with internal and external customers, partners, and community stakeholders to promote and foster a culture where the environment, safety and health are at the forefront of everything that we do.
- The ESH Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining programs that minimise our impact on the environment, promote workplace safety and wellbeing.
