Senior Quantity Surveyor

Carmciahel UK are seeking an experience Senior QS to join the Devonport Docks Project in Plymouth, Devon on a long term contracting basis (inside IR35). You will be assisting in leading the commercial side of the major dock upgrades being completed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cost management for large-scale defence projects at the dockyard
• Prepare and analyse cost estimates, budgets, and tenders
• Manage contracts, procurement, and supplier relationships
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with project and legal standards
• Provide expert advice to project teams and senior stakeholders
• Manage project finances, reporting, and forecasting to ensure cost efficiency

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction or infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of contract management (NEC3/NEC4 preferred)
• Excellent financial management and negotiation skills
• A degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• SC clearance (or ability to obtain)

You must be happy working on site in Plymouth at least 3 days a week.
