We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the Business Support team within Children, Young People and Families Service as an NVQ3 Business Administration Apprentice. 

This role provides an opportunity to develop invaluable skills that will be transferable throughout your working life, building on your existing communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Sitting in this developmental post, the successful candidate will be given protected time to complete their NVQ assignments, as well as participate in activities and training that contribute to their professional development.

Alongside this, apprentices will be responsible for carrying out generic administrative duties alongside the full-time clerical staff. These duties include but are not limited to: covering main reception, inputting data, responding to emails, arranging and rearranging meetings, diary management, note taking, filing and scanning and printing documents. The successful candidate will split their time between working at home and working in the office which is Ballard House.

In order to undertake this role, it is therefore essential that you have the following:

  • Experience working as part of a team
  • Experience of working towards deadlines
  • Good communication skills and willingness to undertake vocational experience
  • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality including the Data Protection Act
  • Knowledge of using PC applications to include Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Willingness to complete the qualifications which are part of the apprenticeship
