SEN/ SEND Support Workers and Teaching Assistants

Support staff/ Carers/ Support Workers required for full time work in in Hemel Hempstead.

£100p/d

Full-time Monday - Friday.

About the School:

SENCare are working closely with a special school that caters for pupils with; profound and multiple learning difficulties(PMLD), severe learning difficulties(SLD), autistic spectrum disorder(ASD), multi-sensory impairments and all pupils have an educational health and care plan(EHCP). The pupils who attend the school are aged between 5 - 19, support is provided to the pupils with 1:1 support or, in small group support supporting the class Teacher with sensory development.

Responsibilities:

• To support the class teacher in the delivery of sensory development.
• To motivate, engage and inspire the pupils.
• Promote independence.
• To manage behaviour positively in line with the school s behaviour policy.
• Adhere to the school's safeguarding policy.
• To provide a stimulating/ engaging support where the pupils are kept safe.
• Provide personal care to required pupils.
• Monday Friday(during term time), 08 00.

Prospective candidates are required to have:

• A DBS dated within the last 3 years or, be willing to apply for a new DBS.
• Appropriate RTW in the UK for full-time work. Permanent employment is available at the school!
• Excellent communication skills.
• Previous experience working within a classroom setting, care home or, children/ young person home.
