Academics LTD is partnering with a specialist school in Slough that offers therapy-based support for children aged 5 to 18 with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The school is searching for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Specialist to join their team. This role presents an excellent chance to gain hands-on experience working alongside qualified SEN practitioners and psychologists.

This position is ideal for anyone looking to build experience in Education, Teaching, or Mental Health. As an SEN Specialist, you'll work both 1:1 and in small groups with children who have Autism, behavioural challenges, sensory issues, and communication difficulties. Many of the students also have mental health challenges, making this role a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in starting a career in Mental Health.

SEN Specialist Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with external professionals and psychologists to support student progress
• Provide support to students with complex needs
• Help students reach learning milestones and achieve academic goals using a personalised approach
• Demonstrate a strong interest in working with children or in Mental Health
• Be resilient, adaptable, and fine working under pressure

This opportunity is perfect for graduates looking to gain experience in the educational sector or for individuals interested in pursuing a career in Psychology or Mental Health. While prior experience isn't required, qualifications such as a Degree, Level 3 qualification, or experience with SEN children are beneficial.

• 83 - 95 per day (dependent upon experience, training, qualifications & client rate available)
• Long-term temporary position with opportunity for permanent
• Full-Time: Mon-Fri 8.30 am - 3.30 pm
