My Client are recruiting for a Lead Design Engineer in the Water Sector
The Client are looking for a Lead Design Engineer to deliver a range of water and wastewater projects on Their Thames Water Framework in the Thames Valley Region.
Location: Reading with Hybrid workig
They continue to successfully deliver our AMP 7 projects and are preparing to move into AMP8 delivery with Thames Water. They are looking for a people with the knowledge, experience, and drive to take this forward.
As a Lead Design Engineer, you will be accountable for the delivery of all aspects of design for a programme of projects in either Wastewater Treatment, Clean Water Production or Infrastructure. You will be responsible for developing your team of Project Leaders and other discipline engineers.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead your team in the delivery of designs suitable for our construction teams to deliver working closely with your commercial and operational counterparts.
- Provide direction to the team, including oversight of project controls, and ensuring compliance with quality, programme, and cost requirements.
- Ensure the client's Asset Standards are applied correctly to the projects whilst driving efficiencies through challenging and promoting the good practice from other areas of the business.
- Work closely with the client's Engineers to deliver our target project portfolio and to ensure we remain a trusted partner.
- Analyse project performance and identify risks that may impact project delivery.
- Embed a positive and honest environment for your team where everyone is challenged and encouraged to reach their potential.

Experience and Qualifications:
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer
- Degree or similar qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering
- Experience in water or wastewater design.
- Experience of leading and developing a design team.
- Experience and knowledge of the Designer and Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.
