NATIONAL TRUST
Swindon

Permanent
In partnership with The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Natural England, we have just launched a new programme called Nature Towns and Cities. This role will see you working with peers and stakeholders across the partnership to help them bring nature to the UK's towns and cities for the people who need it most.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Project Officer to join the team on a 24-month fixed term contract.
You'll play a pivotal role supporting the programme's Communications & Marketing Lead to help deliver the comms and marketing ambition while keeping stakeholders engaged and ensure everything is running to schedule.
What it's like to work here
At the National Trust we've got passionate people in all our teams, and we've got so much more we want to achieve, as we launch our strategy for the next 10 years. We're increasing our reach, influence and the benefit we can deliver to people by working in new ways with partners - and joining this programme, you'll be a big part of that.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.
What you'll be doing
You'll support the team in delivering the programme's planned communications & marketing work. The programme is all about building capacity, knowledge and expertise in UK towns and cities. The comms you deliver will promote the programme to organisations from the local government, community and voluntary sectors, helping to build a movement of places putting nature at the heart of their future plans.
You'll develop and maintain systems and processes to support delivery of a cross-channel comms plan. You'll coordinate stakeholder management across the partnership and with agencies, and make sure we're meeting our responsibilities in areas like GDPR and accessibility.
You'll use your excellent communications skills with senior stakeholders across the partnership, negotiating and influencing to ensure that programme communications deliver the overarching comms strategy as well as meeting the needs of the partners.
You'll have day to day responsibility for the delivery of the communications plan, sharing learning and information management, reporting and performance monitoring.
Who we're looking for
You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what is possible in this role.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
The package
The National Trust has the motto 'For everyone, for ever' at its heart. We're working hard to create an inclusive culture, where everyone feels they belong. It's important that our people reflect and represent the diversity of the communities and audiences we serve. We welcome and value difference, so when we say we're for everyone, we want everyone to be welcome in our teams too.
