Our client is a leading commercial plumbing and drainage company headquartered in Essex. They specialise in a range of services for the commercial sector and are experiencing a period of rapid growth.

The Role:


The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable financial growth. Your responsibilities will include developing new client relationships and nurturing existing ones.

This role may evolve into building a small sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing new business nationwide
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring regular contact and excellent service.
  • Actively participating in weekly meetings.
  • Managing their CRM database and maintaining accurate records of all sales activities.
  • Preparing new account documentation and client information packages.
  • Attending sales meetings, seminars, exhibitions, and client entertainment events as required.
  • Collaborating closely with the sales and operations teams.
  • Potentially Leading a sales team of up to 4 Business Development Managers

The Candidate:

  • You Must have demonstrable B2B sales experience within the plumbing and drainage industry and knowledge of the FM market
  • Exceptional communication skills across all business levels.
  • Self-motivated with excellent management skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online portals.
  • Full driving license.
  • Business acumen, excellent organisational and team-working skills, with the ability to delegate and motivate.
