Calling all talented Despatch Operatives who pick and pack orders to support our ever-growing Customer Support operation and hit the ground running! We are proudly seeking a Despatch Operative to work for our well-established and friendly Manufacturing Operations team, in an organisation which manufactures industry-leading hot-holding units. Role Overview:

Based at our brand Flexeserve, at the Hinckley site in Leicestershire, you will play a pivotal role in the Operations department and be an integral part of a dynamic team that value teamwork and supports each other towards a common goal. Here you will ensure all orders are picked and packed in a timely manner, ensuring our lead times are adhered to and in accordance with business goals and objectives.

  • Order Fulfilment: Ensure all customer support orders are picked and packed to the required standard, adhering to company lead times. Use scanners, barcodes, and serial numbers to locate and track inventory for shipment.
  • Efficient Picking: Safely pick items from warehouse shelving using forklifts, pallet trucks, and other necessary equipment.
  • Secure Packaging: Package items securely with bubble wrap and cardboard boxes to ensure protection during shipment.
  • Documentation: Complete paperwork accurately to enable efficient tracking and ensure order accuracy.
  • Export Coordination: Provide weights and dimensions for export orders to the Customer Support team, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations.
  • Stock Management: Monitor and maintain stock levels of packaging materials, ensuring adequate supplies for continuous operations.
  • Loading/Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, coordinating with other departments when lifting equipment is required.
  • HSEQ Reporting: Report any Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) concerns, collaborating with the Logistics Supervisor and HSEQ team to maintain our high operational standards.
  • Health & Safety: Adhere to company health and safety policies, taking proactive steps to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with the Logistics Supervisor, promptly reporting any issues that could impact deliveries.
  • Housekeeping: Ensure the Despatch area is clean, organised, and maintained to company standards.
