Our Research Team

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of Prof. Joan Cordiner and Dr Alasdair Campbell in the School of Chemical, Materials and Biological Engineering at the University of Sheffield. The research priority that this post will be associated with is hydrogen and alternative liquid fuels.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly self-motivated and driven postdoctoral research associate with a background in chemical engineering (or related discipline).

The EPSRC research project that you will be part of is multi-disciplinary; therefore, you must feel confident in your process safety background and mathematical ability to develop and apply relevant models. Experience in CFD modelling is essential. You must have experience managing your time effectively when there are multiple ongoing project streams. Ideally, you will demonstrate a track record of high-quality research.

We are looking for independent researchers who have demonstrated their ability to perform and ideally publish high quality peer reviewed research (consideration will be given for other reporting for candidates from industry). You will possess a PhD in chemical engineering (or related discipline),and have excellent skills in engineering. This post involves collaboration with our university partners and a wider team of researchers, and accordingly the candidate will have excellent communication and team-working skills.
