Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for new opportunities in London?

Winner Education are seeking Teaching Assistant s to work in primary & secondary schools based in the London area. We are looking for candidates who are open to working day to day, short term and long-term placements. The successful applicant must have previous experience in providing general classroom support as well as 1:1 or small group interventions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
• Provide general classroom support to the class teacher
• Assist the main class teacher in lesson preparation and classroom set up
• Tailor learning materials to the requirement of individual learners
• Assist with pupil progress reports
• Liaise with outside agencies when required
• Support the class teacher with pupil assessments

The successful teaching assistant will have:

• A minimum of Level 2/3 qualification in teaching assisting
• Previous experience working in primary and secondary schools
• Strong resilience and patience
• Desirable: Previous SEN experience of supporting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and challenging behaviours. This is not mandatory
