ES Steel are one of the fastest growing Construction SME businesses within the Nuclear and Defence sectors! The position, based in Reading, offers competitive hourly rate of £34/hr CIS, and the opportunity to work on challenging, technically demanding tasks in a highly regulated environment.

This role is ideal for a seasoned Mechanical Fitter with a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, who thrives in a heavily regulated, safety-critical environment. It would particularly suit candidates with extensive experience in mechanical installations and testing, who are also adaptable and potentially multi-skilled.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and follow technical drawings, engineering standards, and procedures.
• Install and mount equipment such as pumps, motors, and rafts.
• Perform installation of mechanical joints and test systems, including pneumatic and hydrostatic tests.
• Work with shield doors and mechanical handling equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards and specifications.

In return you ll receive a long term contract paying £34/hr CIS for 50 hours of work per week.
