Credit ControllerPertemps Stoke are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our client’s dynamic team in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a busy and varied role, responsible for managing credit for a small number of sites. If you have strong communication skills, an eye for detail, and a proven track record in credit control, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities for this Credit Controller role:- Proactively manage and maintain credit accounts for a small portfolio of sites.
- Timely collection of outstanding payments through telephone, email, and written communication.
- Monitoring customer accounts, ensuring adherence to agreed credit limits.
- Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies or payment issues.
- Regularly reviewing and reconciling customer accounts.
- Preparing reports on outstanding debts and liaising with management.
- Identifying accounts that require escalation and working to minimise bad debt.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.
Skills and Experience Required for this Credit Controller role:- Essential: Proven experience in a credit control role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and debt collection processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and accounting software.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
Details of this Credit Controller role:- Monday to Friday – 37.5 Hours per week
- £24,000 DOE
- Free onsite parking
- Location: Stoke-on-Trent
- Temp to perm position for the right candidate
