Job Requirements/Description

The Governors and Headteacher of St Anne’s RC Primary School are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant, preferable with EYFS experience to work with our children in our caring and supportive school. To start as soon as possible.

About the Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is positive, flexible, inspirational and self-motivated.
  • Has experience and sound knowledge of working in a school environment. EYFS experience preferred.
  • Is aware of and comply with child protection procedures, health and safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting any concerns to the relevant member of staff.

  • Is an excellent practitioner.

The role will include:

  • Supervising and providing particular support for pupils, including those with special needs ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
  • Work with groups of children under the supervision of the teacher including the delivery of programmes of work and implementation of ILPs
  • Giving regular feedback on children’s progress to the class teacher and file records
  • Attending to children’s personal needs, including pastoral, social, health, physical hygiene, minor first aid and welfare matters
