Senior Software Engineer - UK

We are looking for a Software Engineer that has a strong focus on backend development and creating the infrastructure to support it. You will work in an autonomous, purpose driven team and take an important role in shipping new features while continuously increasing efficiency, stability and scalability of the systems. You are expected to contribute with backend development within your team but we also encourage everyone to understand and contribute to other parts of the stack. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary environment with agile principles. We run our infrastructure and systems on AWS. The systems are written in Node.js and Typescript and you are expected to work with and be interested in that. There will be a big focus on using AWS infrastructure to deliver the functionality of the audio delivery platform team. Further as an AWS expert we would expect the person filling this role to help other teams be more efficient in their use of AWS infrastructure.

1. You are interested in learning or have experience with Node.js/Typescript.
2. You have experience in building cloud native infrastructure on AWS.
3. You have extensive experience delivering solutions on AWS infrastructure.
4. You can join in conversations immediately about our current use of AWS and in the short term help identify improvements and efficiencies.
5. You have a pragmatic mindset and can make trade-offs on what to optimise for and when to ship.
6. You are keen to mentor others in the technical aspects you are already an expert in and you value working in a diverse team with developers of all experience and backgrounds.
7. You value other people's input no matter their experience level.

1. Most of our teams are hybrids with some members co-located in offices and some working remote.
2. With a remote first way of working we want you to feel productive regardless of work location!
3. Where? For this role, it can be anywhere within the UK (we have an office in east of London).
4. Working hours? We want to avoid teams distributed over time-zones, so this team will operate within the CET time zone for collaboration. This setup allows us for more flexibility and work-life balance.

For this you must be located within the UK. You can work 100% remotely of course, but within the country.
