Technical Meter Operative

Commercial and Industrial Technical Meter lead, permanent full time career opportunity for an electrical engineer to join this global energy client, someone who can evidence previous experience on LV/HV and CT Metering. This is a remote role, with key responsibilities for coaching, training, and developing a team of meter operatives across the East Midlands, South and East Anglia regions. Reporting to the technical manager, you will possess a thorough understanding of industry codes of practice, policies, and procedures within the energy and utilities sector, as well as previous employment expertise gained in commercial and industrial metering. Key duties will include the investigation and auditing of works, identifying any non-conformities, and introducing, and training on improvements where required. You will conduct meter accuracy testing on metering equipment, COP4, including the installation of meters as appropriate.

As Commercial and Industrial Technical Meter lead, you will undertake complex meter changes, including any alterations to the customer s wiring within procedural tolerances. You will survey meter positions within facilities and report on all findings along with proposals to complete works. Naturally, there is an ongoing need to conduct audits as part of client assessment timescales that are in line with health and safety regulations.

You will need to prepare and present regular reports and information for the Commercial Manager, therefore a sound understating of Windows (Outlook, Word, and Excel) are required. Ideally, we seek a qualified and certified engineer who can evidence education attachments in Electrical Installation (HV/LV and CT Metering). You will need a flexible approach to the role as there is a need to travel daily with overnight stays 4/6 times per month.
