We require an experienced working civils supervisor for a long term project undertaking drainage works

The Civil Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing construction projects, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with established standards and regulations. This position requires a proactive leader who can effectively manage teams, coordinate resources, and maintain communication between various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and demonstrate exceptional supervisory skills.

Duties

  • Supervise daily operations on a large commercial project, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Working role so must be experienced in the knowledge and delivery of deep drainage and civiks works with a hands on approach.
  • Manage project schedules and allocate resources efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure adherence to design specifications and engineering standards.
  • Liaise with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Prepare reports on project progress, challenges encountered, and solutions implemented.
  • Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Address any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively.

Skills

  • Proven experience in supervising projects or teams within the civil engineering sector.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Must have a SSSTS/SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS card.

Will also need checkable references. No digs
