Design Engineer (Mechanical)

Job Title: Design Manager

Working Hours: 39 Hours per week

Main Purpose:

Lead engineering for UK Sales and Projects, ensuring cost-effective designs for CHP, Tri-generation plants, and Battery Energy Storage Schemes. Accountable for project completion within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily operations of the Design Department, ensuring timely deliverables across electrical, mechanical, and CAD engineering.

Collaborate with stakeholders to meet project requirements and deadlines.

Develop conceptual designs, including Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, and technical specs.

Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards (CDM, DSEAR, HAZOP).

Provide technical support during project installation, commissioning, and testing.

Lead problem-solving efforts for design and process issues.

Oversee the profitability and on-time delivery of projects.

Qualifications:

Degree or HND/C in Engineering, with 2-3 years experience in power generation or related fields.

Experience managing design teams and energy projects.

Flexibility with working hours and hybrid WFH
