Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

Exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing brickwork sub-contractor based in Essex with projects ranging between 2 million and 10 million in valuation. Multiple sites across London working with Tier 1 Main contractors. Smaller business so the Assistant Quantity Surveyor will have a lot more responsibility and far greater opportunity to progress early on in their career. Office is based in Billericay and 1-2 days per week will be spent on site in London.

Responsibilities for Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

• Working from the PCSA/2 Stage tender process, to delivering the site and working through to completion and final accounts.
• Assisting both the Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors on site.
• Involvement in estimating, material buying, QA and payroll.
• Managing packages, collating CVRS and managing the commercial process.

Requirements for Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

• 2 years' experience, degree qualified or currently working towards qualification.
• Experience with measuring- training available if not but prior experience would be ideal.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
• Personable and friendly character to fit in with company culture.
