Job Requirements/Description

Happy Days Nurseries is a leading childcare provider in South West England. We are seeking a Credit Control Administrator to join our support team at our Group Support Office, in Summercourt.

As Credit Control Administrator you will ensure timely posting of customer receipts on to the nursery management system and administer debtor accounts to maximise company revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Credit control
  • Produce monthly debt report
  • Credit Control processing in connect – sending emails/letter etc
  • Following up cancelled direct debits
  • Monitor debtors and implement credit control procedures for bad and doubtful debts
  • Update the provision for bad and doubtful debts quarterly
  • Sales ledger
  • Re-running bills for nursery managers
  • Run checks for unbilled sessions
  • Bank & cash
  • Post cash, tax free childcare and voucher receipts onto the NMS sales ledger
  • Nursery Management System
  • 7 Steps to enrolment checks
  • Management of active children in Connect

Early Years funding

  • Funding Loop Administration – Support FO’s and NM as required
  • Housekeeping of parent declaration records ensuring

Ad hoc assignments

  • Assisting the SFO and RA with projects and delegated work
  • Assisting other members of the accounts department with ad hoc accounting and reporting assignments as required
  • Provide cover for colleagues when required

General

  • Maintenance of remittances inbox, filing those completed in a structure that enables the team to find them easily
  • Proactively seek opportunities for self-development and, where appropriate, training to achieve personal objectives
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability of accounting information and efficiency of the accounts department and make suggestions for improvement to the SFO
  • Answer the telephone in a professional, courteous manner and deal with the relevant queries as appropriate
  • Attend and participate in office meetings and reviews as requested, including weekly finance meetings and monthly finance/operations meetings
  • Archive financial records as necessary
  • Provide information in respect of year end audit testing
