About the role
We are looking for a Lead Clinician to manage our in-house Clinical Team at Heath Farm School based in Kent. The post holder will work collaboratively with both the school's Senior Leadership team (SLT) and the Locality Clinical Lead. The role will involve clinically leading the team whilst also maintaining some level of clinical caseload in line with the needs of the school and cohort of students. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating the line management of the members of the onsite clinical team. Working collaboratively with school SLT, OFG guidance and all clinicians on site, you will identify and target emerging themes and priorities for the educational and life outcomes of the students. You will be responsible for enhancing the embedding of clinical excellence within the education team at Heath Farm in line with each individual student's EHCP targets.
You will be responsible for supporting all clinical disciplines in how EHCP relevant clinical targets are identified, delivered and monitored. This will involve close collaborative work with the SENCO and other members of SLT. You will be responsible for ensuring clear outcome measures are put in place which will provide a secure evidence base relating to EHCP targets. This will be informed by current research, evidence informed practice and systemic issues arising as well as the needs of the students who present with complex profiles of need as a result of autism and other types of neurodivergence, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
You will contribute to and support delivery of staff training and provide clinical consultation. There will also be an expectation to do some work and consultation across other OFG sites in the locality, developing a support network of colleagues in the locality to enhance and develop practice and ensure consistency and collaboration. Both a challenging and rewarding role, this position would suit a resilient and enthusiastic individual, with a therapeutic approach and the ability to make decisions, as well as manage their own workload and supervise others. This is an exciting and innovative time for the Clinical Team so please get in touch to find out more.
Working within overall framework of the service policies and procedures, you will be supporting the integration of the specific service in the day to day running of each provision i.e. managing caseloads, ensuring clinical practice is addressing systemic need and enhancing educational and life outcomes of our students. A key aspect of the role will be to support discipline specific teams to identify the range of projects, whole school, class work, assessments and interventions required whilst also supporting our wider teams in meeting needs in line with Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
Our well-established Clinical Team, maintain a nurturing environment where our learners can flourish, always putting them at the forefront of everything they do.
