Our client is a unique and growing automotive car company based in London, looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team.
The company was founded in 2019, and is in a growth phase. To date, the accounts functions have been out-sourced to a third-party. As part of the company's on-going growth strategy, they are now looking to bring the accounts function in-house and want to employ a Finance Manager to join their team. Initially you will be the sole Accounts function on-site, and will look to build out your team over time.
Working in a friendly, small team, you will play a pivital role in shaping the businesses future growth cycle, and for the right candidate this position could lead to longer-term internal promotion to the role of Finance Director.
Overview of responsibilities:
- Preparation of income and expenditure reports and monitor spend against budget.
- Production of monthly P&L (currently on Quick Books)
- Control of Purchase Ledger input
- Analyse financial information to drive understanding and action.
- Involved with investment funding rounds
- Provide clear financial information, advice, KPIs, and analysis.
- Liaise regularly with Budget Holders of all levels ensuring provided information is in an accessible format
- Offer vital input into the budget setting process across the organisation and accurately reforecast
- Build and maintain significant relationships with stakeholders (internal and external) and ensure efficient communication between relevant parties.
- Make process and system improvements where necessary by influencing the financial architecture of the organisation to keep up with the organisation's growth.
- Generate payroll for the organisation.
- Improve policies and systems to better meet the organisational objectives.
- Lead, deliver, and develop projects inclusively.
The Successful Applicant
- Background as an Accountant or Finance Manager both suitable
- To hold either CIFA or CIMA qualification
- Must have experience with financial business modelling
- Preferable to have experience working for a company in growth phase / start-up
- Happy to be 'hands-on' with all aspects of the accounts dept.
- Analytical and goal orientated, with demonstratable experience in similar role
- Strong Excel and IT skills and ability to use Finance systems / databases to input and extract data
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Open about Qualifications you can be Qualified by experience or studying for an Accountancy Qualification
