Facilities Assistant - Corsham

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our expanding Estates Team as Facilities Assistants. In this role, you will help deliver a variety of facilities services across a client site in Corsham, supporting the wider Estates Team in meeting statutory and contractual obligations. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, performing general maintenance tasks and contributing to the smooth operation of the site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform weekly and monthly planned maintenance tasks such as visual inspections of lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, call points, and utility meter readings.
• Carry out general maintenance activities, including re-lamping defective luminaires, minor plumbing repairs, and building fabric/decorating touch-ups.
• Assist with water hygiene tasks, including water flushing and temperature checks.
• Provide escorting services for 3rd-party contractors and manage building outages as needed.
• Support the Estates Team with storeroom management and vehicle checks.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in building maintenance, such as in a caretaker or handy person role (additional experience is beneficial but not essential).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work well in a team.
• Experience in a customer-focused environment, with an understanding of health, safety, and statutory building compliance requirements.
• A proactive approach to maintenance, with attention to detail and accuracy when recording information on worksheets and computer-based systems.
• Full UK driver's license is essential.

Salary: 24,000 - 29,000
