Apprentice Gardener

The King’s School has an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Gardener to join the team to ensure that our gardens and ornamental areas are developed and maintained to the highest possible standards.

The job role is specifically to maintain and develop the school’s gardens and grounds to the highest standards of horticultural practice, this will include mowing, weeding, pruning, hedge cutting and leaf collection for which the candidate will be expected to use hand and power tools. They will use fertilisers, composts and other products used in gardening.

Rubbish bin and waste collection, exterior sweeping and help with general waste removal will be required as part of the role.

The successful applicant must have good communication skills, be physically fit and have a keen interest in gardening and working outdoors.
