Job Requirements/Description

We are a football club with a desire to be the best and are always looking for talented people to join our Everton Family.

Everton is a workplace people crave to join, where extraordinary talented people belong, thrive and deliver the remarkable.

Who are we:

Everton, a pioneering and globally recognised football club, with a rich, successful history and an exciting future.

Founded in 1878, Everton is one of the 12 Founder Members of the Football League. The Club has been crowned league champions on nine occasions, lifted the FA Cup five times and tasted European success by winning the European Cup Winners Cup in 1985.

Everton’s proud traditions are maintained by clear values and ambitious plans for the future.

The development of our new Everton Stadium on the banks of the River Mersey is well underway, providing a significant platform for further growth.

About the opportunity:

For decades, our Club has been one of the most respected and renowned in football. Its vision to develop young players who are technically and tactically capable of playing for Everton’s Men’s First Team, or having a career in the professional game, remains as focused as ever.

We are seeking a passionate individual in talent identification to lead and manage a team of scouts in the Lancashire area. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of grassroots football and be highly motivated to support the recruitment strategy by identifying high-potential young players in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Identification: Collaborate with scouts in your area to identify and recruit top talent, focusing on players with high potential
  • Co-ordination: Lead a team of scouts, ensuring maximum coverage of leagues, private academies, and training groups
  • Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with local clubs, schools, and community organisations within the region

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a confident leader who has vast experience of Talent ID and is located across Lancashire.

You will be confident in communicating with all stakeholders; while developing and implementing recruitment strategies across your local region. This role will provide opportunity to demonstrate the importance of Talent ID within a performance environment and how it is able to support an exciting future for our football club.

  • A Local Champion: Knowledge of the Lancashire community and its football culture is a strong advantage. You are motivated to positively impact the area
  • Experienced in Grassroots Football: You have hands-on experience working in grassroots football, either as a coach, scout, or similar role
  • A Strong Communicator: You can effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders, from young players and their families to club officials and regional football associations
  • Organised and Proactive: You manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and respond quickly to shifting priorities
  • A Passionate Advocate for Football: You are deeply committed to football development and excited about creating pathways for local talent to flourish
  • Proven experience in a football or community development role
  • A valid driver’s license and access to transport, as the role will involve travel within and potentially outside the South Liverpool area
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

If you feel you are the person we are looking for, someone who would be able to help us drive a successful Talent ID strategy, then we would love to hear from you!

The role is permanent contract with the expectation of you attending regular fixtures across your local area
