About the Company:
An established and growing accountancy practice based in Warrington is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a varied client portfolio, including SMEs and larger businesses, providing high-quality accounting and advisory services.

The Role:
As an Accounts Senior, you will manage a portfolio of clients, oversee the preparation of financial accounts, and provide business advice. This is a great opportunity for a confident and proactive individual looking to take on more responsibility within a progressive firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and reviewing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders in accordance with UK GAAP.
• Preparing management accounts, VAT returns, and tax computations.
• Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing guidance where necessary.
• Liaising with clients to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services, resolving queries, and providing business advice.
• Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as the main point of contact, and maintaining strong relationships.
• Assisting clients with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
• Supporting the firm s partners in business development activities and identifying new opportunities for client services.
• Assisting with year-end audit preparation and providing support during client audits.
• Monitoring deadlines and ensuring all work is completed on time and within budget.
• Attending client meetings to discuss financial performance and offer advice on business strategy.

Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients, including the preparation of accounts and tax returns.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Experience in supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• A proactive and problem-solving approach to work, with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
