Refuse Loaders

Refuse Loaders:

You will be assisting in the collecting of refuse/recycling from households within the Hounslow borough. It is essential to provides a high quality service and flexibility to carry out other duties within waste management.

Main responsibilities
To maintain a good service to the public at all times including:

Loading bins and bags into Refuse Vehicle

Litter picking, bin deliveries, curb side collection, green waste collection, food waste collection

To deal courteously with the public.

You will be required to work in all weather conditions

Cleaning up any spillages from refuse/recycling sacks, leaving the street clear of rubbish.

You will need to work well within small teams

Avoid any acceptance of liability, personally or on behalf of the council.

To behave appropriately and represent the council at all times

You will need to be a good team player as well as be self-motivated as the duties can vary from team to individual work projects.

All applicants will need to be physically fit as there is a lot of walking, bending, and lifting involved in the daily duties which is a physically demanding role

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday (Saturdays only when a bank holiday)

Hours: 06.00 - 3pm (may need to start earlier in hot weather)

Pay rate: 12.38 per hour

You MUST have Safety Boots (or you will be set away) due to health and safety
