Our established client is currently looking to recruit a HR Advisor on an initial 3 month contract.
HR Advisor / People Advisor
Birmingham Hybrid
£23 per hour inside IR35
The successful candidate will have previous experience as a HR Advisor / People Advisor providing support and advice across all stages of the employee lifecycle. Within the role you will be working within a team managing a caseload of active work including Absence management, Performance Improvement Plans and Disciplines and Grievances , alongside the following duties
- Providing management support and advice to promote high standards of people management, support outcome improvements and conflict resolution
- Supporting the process of maintaining and improving people-related policies and procedures
- Supporting the ongoing work of process improvement in our People Advisory team and, more broadly, with peers across our People & OD team
- Providing valuable feedback to enable effective risk management and process improvement, often based on the outcome of cases and/or advice
- Supporting the collation of Advisory-based data and MI
- Looking after the process of employee risk assessments at all stages of the employee lifecycle
- Supporting consultation processes to include restructuring and TUPE, ACAS and early conciliation, health, and disability related referrals etc.
- Coach and support line managers to respond to people risks, issues and opportunities within their teams, including leading ad hoc learning sessions to respond to common learning needs.
- Supporting employee relations through the effective management of employee relations cases focusing primarily but not exclusively on disciplinary & grievance, absence management and performance improvement plans (PIPs).
- Ensuring case management complies with relevant policies and procedures, including effective and transparent communication and robust record-keeping and document management.
