Finance Assistant

RECfinancial are shortlisting exclusively for a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join this growing Leicester based business to help support their finance team. If you're organized, proactive and eager to progress your Accounting career, then this is the ideal opportunity for you.

The role sits in the heart of the business and reports through to an established Financial controller. The role will progress for the right candidate, to involve assisting with the Management and Financial Accounts.

What does the Finance Assistant role involve?

• Finance Support: Manage your workload for timely financial reporting, maintain stock and reorder records and assist with ad hoc duties.
• Accounts Payable: Reconcile ledger accounts, prepare BACS payments and process purchase invoices while addressing queries.
• Expenses: Calculate and pay employee expenses; reconcile company credit card expenditures.
• Credit Control: Identify aged debts, implement collection processes and generate relevant reports.
• Accounts Receivable: Allocate receipts, prepare bank deposits, and distribute invoices to customers.

Who are we looking for as the Finance Assistant?

• Ideally AAT Qualified, CIMA or ACCA part qualified.
• Experience in a finance role is essential.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to work on your own initiative.
