Faculty

You will join a truly innovative School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, with a suite of postgraduate programmes which credit bearing and NHSE-commissioned CPD pathways. We also have our fully integrated 4 year and 5 year (sandwich) MPharm programmes based on Team-Based Learning (TBL), in addition to two further undergraduate programmes, and excellence in research.

What you will be doing:

The key objective of this postholder will be to lead, oversee and develop our suite of programmes for post-graduate pharmacists. This currently includes our Foundation Training programme (delivered with external partners), NHSE commissioned national pathways in mental health (pharmacists) and critical care (technicians), MSc/PG Diplomas in Foundation Pharmacy Practice and Advanced Pharmacy Practice and Independent Prescribing and our new MSc Clinical Pharmacy and Healthcare Leadership. The postholder will:

  • Be a key member of the team delivering our postgraduate taught clinical programmes
  • Have input into the strategic direction of our provision, including bidding for external contracts and developing collaborative partnerships
  • Undertake research in a relevant area and support pharmacists to develop their research potential.

Qualifications/ experience:

  • MPharm degree or equivalent (if obtained outside the UK) and a GPhC registered pharmacist
  • Advance HE Fellow or equivalent experience and commitment to obtaining this following appointment
  • Experience of working and planning strategically and influencing change
  • Evidence of programme leadership and enhancement, or leadership of large core modules 
  • Evidence of resolving complex education and/or research related problems, using initiative and creativity whilst ensuring compliance with appropriate regulations and policies
