Trainee Quantity Surveyor (Civils)
Location: Launceston
Salary: Up to 30k
Our client, a family run civils and groundworks business based in Launceston, have an opportunity for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
You will need:
- A quantity surveying qualification
- Transport
Responsibilities:
- Costing: Preparing weekly costs for materials, labor, plant, and subcontractors. They also prepare cost reports for smaller projects.
- Contract administration: Administering and analyzing contracts, timesheets, tenders, pre-qualifying questionnaires, and price lists.
- Communication: Communicating with clients and colleagues to exchange financial construction-related information.
- Legal and regulatory compliance: Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance is followed.
- Health and safety: Prioritizing safety for oneself and others in the work environment.
- Project development: Working with the site team and factory teams to understand the modular build process.
- Project budget management: Assisting in the preparation and management of project budgets and cost estimates.
- Project specifications: Working closely with senior quantity surveyors to analyze project specifications and assess cost implications.
- Subcontractor management: Monitoring sub-contractors and stages of construction.
- Travel: Traveling to construction sites, Company fixed locations or other locations as requested by Senior Management.
