Chairperson

Southend Care Ltd is a successful Local Authority Trading company located within Southend on Sea that has been successfully trading since 2017, starting with the transfer of a number of local authority services, and has grown from there. We currently employ around 330 staff, approaching at £12 million turn over and supports up to 1000 people a year.

We have successfully worked with staff teams to achieve our values driven culture, and modernisation of our services both in terms of the care and support services, and in the locations, we operate from. Southend Care Ltd has a reputation for delivering high quality care and making a positive difference to the quality of life to those we support.

A skilled and diverse board is key to our success, and we are now seeking a new chairperson to join the team and build on the achievements of the organisation. This is an exciting time to join the board, as in addition to the chairperson position, we are also seeking a new non-executive who will join the board alongside a new Senior Officer level board member from the City Council.

If you are a senior leader with board experience and have a strong commitment to the development of the health and social care sector we would love to hear from you.

Successful applicants should already be operating at board level, and able to demonstrate a range of skills and experience including values based leadership, ability to understand and interpret financial information, commercial experience business development, governance and strategic growth.
