This is a fantastic opportunity to join Bristol City Council as a Park Ranger and be part of a flexible and committed team delivering high quality service standards for the city's parks and green spaces, as set out in our Parks and Green Spaces Strategy

You will carrying out a broad range of horticultural, landscaping and nature conservation management tasks across a range of parks and green spaces. You will have a highly visible role working with the public and volunteers across Bristol.

What will I be doing?

As a Ranger you will have a key role in making our parks and green spaces welcoming and attractive places to visit. You will lead practical landscape maintenance and management tasks in some of Bristol’s most important green spaces. You will be part of our Managing for Nature programme that is transforming how we manage spaces for nature and engage citizens.

What do I need to have?

We are looking for someone with experience in carrying out practical landscape improvement work, habitat management tasks, woodland management tasks and grounds maintenance tasks. Someone who can encourage and promote the use of our parks and greenspaces by leading volunteer activities and programmes.

You will have a flexible approach to work including working occasional weekends. You will need to be able to meet the physical demands of the role, have a strong customer focus and be prepared to lead volunteers, working both in a small team and on your own at different times.

You will require a full valid UK driving licence & ability to drive a wide range of Parks vehicles and plant as per the requirement of the service.
