We are offering an exciting opportunity for Project Managers to join our client's expanding Real Estate team in Manchester.

Purpose of Role

  • Lead Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, particularly on large or complex projects.
  • Serve as the key, day-to-day client interface, ensuring that objectives are met and that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Scope

Project Managers handle a range of commissions of varying scale and complexity, with typical project values up to £40m. Some advisory services may apply to larger projects, such as urban regeneration funding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Advice: Provide strategic-level advice at project conception, offering approaches to meet client objectives.
  • Success Criteria: Lead the establishment of success criteria for time, cost, technical performance, and more.
  • Governance & Systems: Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems.
  • Planning: Oversee project planning and ensure the production of a detailed project plan.
  • Resource Procurement: Advise on the procurement of necessary resources.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the cross-functional project team, ensuring collaboration and communication.
  • Performance Management: Monitor performance, applying KPIs to improve project outcomes.
  • Change Control & Finances: Manage change control processes and project finances.
  • Reporting: Ensure the production of formal progress reports and other project documentation.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary interface with the client and other consultants throughout all project stages.
  • Staff Management: Assist with the management of junior team members, recruitment, and appraisals.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Ensure key project learnings are shared within the organisation.
  • Financial Management: Monitor project financials and ensure prompt invoicing.
  • Process Improvement: Identify ways to enhance internal processes and systems.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
  • Proven experience managing Real Estate projects, ideally in a consultancy environment.
