Academic Quality, Enhancement and Innovation works with Schools across the University to lead the implementation of the University’s quality framework and to enhance expertise in teaching and learning, develop the curriculum, maintain teaching up-to-date approaches, and grow staff knowhow with a range of learning technologies.

About the role

The University of Gloucestershire is seeking a dynamic Curriculum Development Specialist to join the Academic Quality, Enhancement and Innovation team. In this pivotal role you will support the enhancement of teaching and learning across the University, implementing initiatives that promote innovation and support the development of good practice emerging from pedagogical research and scholarship. You will be involved in identifying opportunities to enhance student engagement, to develop use of digital platforms, and to explore new approaches to learning, teaching, and assessment in partnership with students. The Curriculum Development Specialist provides advice and guidance, leading activities which disseminate best practice, and supporting equitable, inclusive approaches to learning, teaching and assessment for all students (undergraduate, postgraduate and Apprenticeships).

The ideal candidate will have a track record in supporting and delivering curriculum innovation, with proven experience of partnership working with academic teams, students, and other key stakeholders. You will bring creativity, strategic thinking, and a solution-focused mindset to this diverse role.
