Morson Technical Services is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. Field Service Engineers operate an on-call System and are available to work at a Customer Site for the duration of the on-call period.
This is a permanent position homebased but on a 4 week rotation on call rota covering the Southern region.
There are two different on-call duty days with the 4 week rota, these are as follows:
Long Call (LC): 24 hours, from 7am-7am
Short Call (SC): 5 hours 7am 12 noon
(R) represents a Rest Day (these are paid rest days)

Package Details:
The package includes:
- Starting Salary of £35,190 per annum, rising to £36,742.50 per annum (on completion of full training and probation) + paid overtime is available (Overtime paid on all hours worked over 37 per week)

The Role:
- Perform repairs, component replacements, and troubleshoot malfunctions to restore product functionality.
- Comfortable undertaking hardware installation including electrical connectivity - copper & fibre.
- Provide excellent customer, support, offering technical assistance and resolving infrastructure power system faults in a timely and professional manner in line with defined SLAs.
- Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and reports.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
- Working in in an outdoor environment in all weathers, following safe working processes and procedures.
- Working in an on-call shift pattern in rotation with the team within your region.
You will:
- Have proven experience in a Field Service environment.
- Have the ability to read & follow detailed technical documentation encompassing ICT/ Electrical/ Mechanical systems to assist in isolating and rectifying faults to root cause component/assembly.
- Have a strong electronic repair trouble shooting and problem-solving methodology.
- Good Knowledge of electrical and infrastructure systems.
- Ability to work independently and travel to customer sites.
- A thorough understanding of all H&S aspects & procedures RAMS etc
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using instrumentation equipment and application software related to the field activities, including Power Ups, UPSs, Cisco, Fibre knowledge, Imagery Systems/Cameras and. Knowledge of Traffic Management Systems an advantage but not essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver s licence.
- Ability to work at height and pass medical.
- This role will require Security Clearance due to the nature of the end client.
