Principal Drainage Engineer- Birmingham

My client, a UK based Consultancy which specialises in Civil and Structural Engineering, is searching for a Principal Drainage Engineer to lead their Team in Birmingham.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in Engineering (including a BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering) and have achieved or are working towards chartered status.

It is also essential for applicants to have experience working within a UK based Consultancy completing detailed Drainage designs using Infodrainage, Microdrainage or Causeway Flow.

It is also beneficial for applicants to have experience mentoring team members and completing Flood Risk Assessments and rainwater garden design.

You will join a new team based in central Brimingham, near the train station. You will be expected to assist with the growth of a new team, manage projects and manage team members. You will have the chance to complete varied residential, commercial and industrial projects, hospitals, schools and holiday parks. As a Principal Engineer, you will also be required to complete the following;

-Varied projects spanning residential, commercial and industrial development projects.
-Detailed SuDS designs using Microdrainage, Infodrainage and Flow.
-Surface Water Management Plans.
-Access road design for residential developments.
-Flood Risk Assessments.
-Flood Alleviation Schemes.
-Mentor Team Members and manage projects.
-Frequent liaison with Private Sector Clients, Housing Developers and Business Associates to develop business opportunities.
