Job Requirements/Description

We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our team in a bustling stadium restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef and Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and leading the culinary team to success.

Key Objectives

  • Assist the Head Chef and Exec Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations from preparation to service.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared according to restaurant standards and recipes.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including training, mentoring, and scheduling.
  • Maintain inventory and control food costs.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning and development.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Handle any issues that arise and provide solutions swiftly.

Key responsibilities (KPIs)

  • Ensure that a 5star E.H.O & GOLD rating DDS standard of cleanliness is maintained in all kitchen operations at all times
  • Ensure that all H.A.C.C.P forms are completed weekly
  • Support the achievement of budgeted food GP by ensuring stock is rotated & wastage is minimised

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-quality restaurant environment, with expertise in high volume turnover, particularly in the event industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of current culinary trends and techniques.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Desirable Skills

  • Food Safety Level 3
  • Recognised Culinary Qualifications

Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum

Hours: 5 out of 7 days including evenings and weekends due to home match days
