Legal Secretary – Conveyancing | IMMEDIATE START NEEDED

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Legal Secretary on behalf of our client based in Telford, Shropshire on a temporary to permanent basis.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within an administrative role and will be fully proficient using Microsoft Applications.

Hours: Mon-Fri 9:00am – 17:00pm with 1 hour for lunch | Office based.

Salary: £24,000 per annum DOE.

Duties include but not limited to:
• Receiving post and scanning onto our systems.
• Answering the telephone.
• Corresponding via email.
• Opening files.
• Preparing client care documentation.
• Ordering searches (search packs and pre-exchange searches i.e. OS1s, bankruptcy searches, Lawyer Checker).
• Updating/chasing agents.
• Dealing with post completion matters i.e. AP1s, SDLTs.
• Dealing with exchange/completion letters.
• Closing files.

Ideal Candidate:
• 2 years’ experience within a legal secretary role is essential.
• Conveyancing background is preferred.
• Fully proficient with Microsoft applications and have experience of audio typing (preferably legal) and handling client enquiries.
• Excellent communication skills.
