Health & Safety Advisor

Abatec is assisting a national Civil Engineering contractor with the recruitment of a freelance Health and Safety Advisor based in Plymouth. Our client is currently embarking on a once-in-generational civil engineering project and requires a Health and Safety Advisor.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar position within the Civil Engineering / Construction Sector.

As a Health and Safety Advisor you will:

• Support and provide information to the site ensuring compliance with all requirements in the construction plans.

• Support investigations of incidents including close calls and near misses on site.
• Identifying training needs
• Assist in the production of Health and Safety plans, procedures, and associated documentation and check Compliance.

Our client is looking for a Health & Safety Advisor with:

• Sound Knowledge of Civil Engineering/Construction Methods
• Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety or previous experience in a similar role
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Experience working on Civil Engineering/Construction sites.

Salary/Benefits:

• £400 - £450 PAYE
