Refuse LGV Class 1 Driver

Simple Recruitment are looking for a Refuse LGV Class 1 Driver for our client based in Willand to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

Refuse collectors handle possibly the most necessary of all public services, driving to different locations and disposing of our waste and recycling. Without Refuse Operatives and Refuse Drivers, our towns, cities, and communities would be overrun by vermin, flies, and disease.

The Job
As a Refuse LGV Class 1 Driver, you will be working within a tight-knit team, driving recycling vehicles to various locations and assisting the crew with loading duties, helping to keep the local areas of Bideford, clean and welcoming.

Key responsibilities:

• Undertake daily vehicle checks.
• Lead crew to collect refuse from households and trade premises.
• Unload the recycling vehicle at designated disposal/treatment sites.
• To operate the forklift and telescopic handler if required.
• Adhere to health and safety best practices.

Key Requirements:

• Hold a relevant valid driver s license.
• Must own a CPC driver s card and Digital Tacho.
• Must own LGV C1 category driving license.

Salary
£13.69 per hour.

Hours
37 hours a week starting at 6.00am. Due to the nature of the tasks, finish times need to be flexible.
