Shift patterns: Any 5 from 7, Hours - Weekly Rotation. 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 / 22:00 - 06:00

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport Controller (FLM) to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements for a major retailer in the Cumbernauld area. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of transport specific procedures.

What does the role entail?

• Assist the transport manager with the day to day running of the on-site traffic office
• Manage the driver teams hours, performance and end of day paperwork & debrief
• Manage the vehicle and trailers resource for site including arranging maintenance and defects process
• Communicate effectively with other parts of the business and key stakeholders, including the customer

What doe we need from you?

• Previous and practical experience as a Transport Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment
• Computer literate including experience with Microlise/Tachomaster
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
• Collaborative nature, able to work well within the team and a diverse range of colleagues
• A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received
