Trainee Quantity Surveyor

Madisons Recruitment are looking for a Trainee/Assistant Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis located in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire.

Our client specialise in Groundworks & Civil Engineering and are looking for a candidate looking to progress their career within a reputable contractor.

Responsibilities

• Estimating client bills and submitting tenders
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain prices.
• Assisting with lump sum tender opportunities and producing detailed BoQ s
• Assessing the financial, technical, and operational risks of projects
• Working closely with the site team to ensure projects are delivered as per the quotation.
• Producing detailed take offs from drawings and site visits for valuation purposes
• Submitting accurate and fully substantiated monthly valuations
• Pricing variations and managing change control on projects
• Producing detailed measures for material ordering and liaising with subcontractors for orders
• Maintaining effective communication with clients, suppliers, and site team.

Requirements

• Previous experience within a Junior/Trainee Role
• Assistant Quantity Surveyor experience also considered
• Experience in the groundworks & civil industry
• Commutable distance from Bishops Stortford
• Degree or relevant qualification
