Occupational Therapist

Working hours: Monday Friday 9am to 5pm (on call by phone every 6 weeks).

Location: Home-based delivering in the Midlands

Salary Up to £32,000 + £2,400 Car allowance

Gray Healthcare is looking for a creative and innovative Occupational Therapist, with proven experience within a community setting, to join our team of experienced and dedicated professionals who are passionate about the service we deliver. As the role is remote (office hours at home and delivering in the community) you need to be a resilient and autonomous practitioner, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and the people that we support. You will be fully supported via TEAMS / phone calls. As an Occupational Therapist working within Gray Healthcare, you will be joining our friendly and experienced Clinical Team. This role will provide you with the opportunity to put into practice your current skills in addition to developing yourself as an autonomous practitioner. You will be part of a team providing evidence-based assessment and intervention to people with complex needs who are supported to live a meaningful life in their own homes.

The successful candidate will have excellent skills in delivering the Occupational Therapy process of assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation both through direct service user contact where required and by providing coaching and guidance to Support Staff.

Gray Healthcare s model is underpinned by Positive Behaviour Support and as such, you will be expected to work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure the provision of robust, positive and evidence-based support.

Occupational Therapist Key Responsibilities:

You will be an ambassador for Gray Healthcare

Provide clinical advice, guidance and support.

Work within a team that promotes positive risk taking.

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate clinical care plans and risk assessments.

Coach and guide support staff to provide robust and evidence-based intervention with an emphasis on skill building

Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, the individuals we support and their families.

Promote Co-Production initiatives

Work with individuals and their families.

Occupational Therapist essential skills and experience:

Experience of supporting people with complex needs (typically at least 6 months post qualifying experience)

HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist

Experienced In supporting people with Mental Health issues, Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs.

Demonstratable understanding of Recovery Principles

Demonstratable understanding of evidence-based practice.

Ability to work as part of a Multi-disciplinary team.

Driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance

Ability to undertake national travel where required
