The Vacancy

We have a brand new and exciting opportunity for a Palliative Nurse Specialist Team Leader (Band 7 equivalent, or Band 6 development role); supporting, developing and leading our CNS Advice line team.

We are a progressive and dynamic community nurse specialist team at the forefront of delivering outstanding palliative care. Due to a recent service restructure, we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to lead the dedicated team of community nurse specialists managing our advice line. The successful candidate will primarily support patients via the advice line, but also have the ability to responsively visit patients at home when urgently required.

To apply for the role you will need to be a non-medical prescriber with a minimum of 2 years specialist palliative experience. We would also welcome applications from candidates with a minimum of 18 months experience in a specialist palliative role, evidence of leadership / management and a willingness to undertake the independent prescriber module.

The Community Nurse Specialist Access Team support any palliative patient, family and health care professional (within BNSSG) contacting the hospice advice line within the hours of 07:45 to 20:00 Monday to Sunday including bank holidays.

We can offer either full or part time hours (37.5 or 30 hours per week)
