Operations Supervisor
The Operations Supervisor keeps the wheels of our business turning, and delivers the safe, reliable and punctual service our customers and clients expect and deserve.
Skills and knowledge
Local area knowledge of Heathrow Airport and West London.
Experience of at least running either regulated bus services or airside operations.
IT skills - including Microsoft Suite, Coach Manager and OmniDas.
Understanding of rotas and allocations.
Willingness to learn and develop, with a can-do approach.
Ability to react efficiently and decisively.
Problem solving skills.
A calm head under pressure.
Understanding of Domestic GB and EU driving hours regulations.
Ideally, a Category D Licence.
To be a self-starter and team player.
You'll need to have:
Full UK driving licence with a Cat D entitlement.
Minimum two years driving experience.
Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
5-year checkable work or education history.
Clean criminal record.
Key tasks will include ensuring:
Vehicle run-out and run-back is handled efficiently without delays.
All Drivers have CPC, Driving License, and uniform.
Covering, updating and allocating Crew and Private Hire movements efficiently to
ensure we're on time, every time.
Service operated is fully covered in the event of driver or vehicle non-
availability, regulated and punctual.
Drivers are aware of road closures and diversions.
Conducting fact finds where necessary for early running, unnecessary delays, non-
compliant operation, or incidents.
High-quality customer service is provided by phone and email.
Driver compliance with Domestic GB and EU driving hours.
Drivers' enquiries are resolved promptly.
Completion of end of shift handover daily.
Compliance checks 10% of run out daily or run backs (e.g. run out gate checks/run
back audits) are carried out, and documentation is stored correctly.
All VCR cards are issued and returned ensuring they are completed correctly.
Vehicle breakdowns and defects are dealt with promptly, in collaboration with
Engineering Team, and PMI/MOT/40K vehicles are provided on time. Vehicle breakdowns
are recorded in Freeway.
Accidents and incidents are dealt with promptly, with relevant evidence and reports
captured.
Lost mileage is recorded and minimised.
Random or for cause drug and alcohol testing is carried out.
Cleaning audits are completed.
Working environment
You will be based at our Heathrow depot working in the traffic office.
You will be expected to drive when required for operational needs.
Working Hours
Shift working to an agreed rota, 4 on 4 off shifts Days and Nights available
Day or Night Controller positions available.
Day: 05:00-13:00 or 13:00-21:00
Night: 21:00-05:30
Overtime available.
