Summary Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and communicate an evolving activities programme that reflects the wide range of individual needs, preferences and acknowledges developments in research in activities for older people.
- Encourage and facilitate residents to arrange their own activities where appropriate.
- Evaluate and monitor the success of all activities for residents.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the site to provide opportunities for shared activities. Work closely with care, facilities and the pastoral team to plan suitable activities.
- Establish links with the local community and encourage cross-generational activities.
- Support and coordinate volunteers and work experience students who are involved in various activities and events.
- With the Social Care Deputy Manager, monitor the activities budget and ensure that best value is achieved through expenditure.
