This role is essential to delivering our Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for asset investments, overseeing multi-year, multi-million-pound projects across 12 sites.

As Technical Manager, you’ll lead a diverse, multi-functional team, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. • Technical Expertise: Utilise specialist engineering knowledge to define technical specifications, provide cost estimates, and guide project teams in delivering the best solutions.
  • Supplier and Contractor Management: Oversee contracts with OEMs and contractors to ensure all project deliverables meet required standards and timelines.
  • Leadership and Collaborator Engagement: Line-manage and inspire a multidisciplinary engineering team, including three lead engineers and a wider project team of 26 members.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Strong Health & Safety background with relevant qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH).
  • An engineering degree or equivalent qualification, with significant experience in engineering and project management, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Professional Project Management qualifications (e.g., APM) are required or should be obtained within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Confirmed leadership experience, with the ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders, and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to creating a positive, inclusive working environment.
