Team Manager - Screening Team Leicestershire City Council

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Leicestershire County Council.

This is a temporary Team Manager role for the Screening Team.

In this role you will earn 40 - 45 an hour umbrella, whilst having the opportunity to work in a professional and vibrant environment.

Working within the Screening Team as a Manager includes but is not limited to:

Overall management and supervision of Social Workers and Deputy Team Managers
Case allocation
Regularly assessing caseloads and providing consultation on complex cases
Managing Section 17, Section 47 and Section 20 budgets
Managing staffing budget
Investigating complaints and disciplinary matters in accordance with corporate and divisional procedures
Chairing Strategy Meetings, Professional Meetings and LAC Review Conferences
Managing Duty System
Accompanying Social Workers on home visits for monitoring and support purposes
Attending court and giving evidence when required
Auditing files
Ensuring that policies and procedures are implemented
Identifying and implementing staff training and development
Ensuring that activities within the Council's safeguarding services are carried out to agreed service standards within available budgets, and in line with legislative, regulatory and national minimum standard requirements
Managing the recruitment and selection process for all members of staff

For this position you will need hold a recognised social work qualification and be SWE registered.
Furthermore, The CVs need to evidence current or recent experience as a manager within a screening or MASH team.
