We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join our team and make a difference in our students' lives.

Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students who require additional assistance in managing their behaviour and social interactions. You will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour, enhance learning, and foster a respectful school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students facing behavioural challenges.
  • Develop and implement tailored behaviour intervention plans in collaboration with teachers and support staff.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance to help them achieve their goals.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting a sense of belonging and well-being.
  • Support staff in managing classroom behaviour and implementing behaviour management strategies.
  • Liaise with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and concerns, offering guidance and support as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive school culture through participation in school events and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of student behaviour and progress, ensuring confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or support role.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • A proactive and resilient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • A current DBS certificate on the Update Service is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
